There is a demand for more people who can perform energy declarations, more electrical installers and more professionals who can concretely implement energy-saving measures. In other words, exactly that which is delivered by the vocational programme Energy efficient systems.
According to new regulations, houses and flats that are constructed, sold, or let must be energy declared. Staggering prices of electricity and oil trigger property owners to cut down their energy consumption. New funding regulations encourage house-owners to change their heating systems. As a consequence, the industry association expects to need hundreds of new electrical installers and energy inspectors in the next few years.
Course contents
During the first year you will get a look into existing heating and ventilation systems and insight into how they work, as well as a firm grasp on how to monitor and analyse energy usage in buildings. The subject of construction technology and the overall systems approach are also key concepts.
The final term offers an opportunity to immerse yourself. If you aim to become an electrical installer or a technician you should select the Electrical Installer orientation, focusing on practical elements like planning, installing and servicing various energy efficient systems. If you want to work with energy surveys we recommend the theoretical orientation Energy Analysis. Either way, you will be able to count on it being easy to find a job!
Putting theory into practice
During a total of 18 weeks, the studies will be located at a workplace, "Lärande I Arbete" (Learning at work), LIA, where you will be able to put your knowledge into practice.
The market needs you
Energy efficient methods for heating houses are at the core of this training programme, which has been continuously refined in order to meet market needs. The training touches everything from energy analysis, installation and monitoring, to customer contacts and sales.
Industry recommendations
This training programme is a result of collaboration with Svenska Värmepumpföreningen - SVEP (the Swedish Heat Pump Association), Tranås Energi (Tranås energy), Bosch Thermoteknik (Bosch Thermo Technology), Tekniska Verken (the engineering works), Torpheimer Systems and more. Several companies and industry associations give the vocational training programme Energieffektiva system their warmest recommendations. Read the letters below to hear about their opinions.
