Tranås Utbildningscentrum is an adult learning centre offering vocational training and degree programs, both at distance and on location.
Tranås Utbildningscentrum (Tranås education centre), TUC, is a learning centre focusing on education, competence development and progress-focused projects. We operate mainly in two fields: higher education, and competence development for business.
TUC is a meeting point for studies, an engine for growth and development, and an educational broker operating from identified needs. Hence, our goal is to offer individuals, companies and organisations a wide range of training programmes that mirror the market's needs and preferences, and thereby create a basis for growth and development in the Tranås region. We regard education as a tool for obtaining growth.
We started operating in 1989 and since then the number of training programmes has gradually increased, and we have at present approximately 300 full time students, with an additional 50 at independent university courses. Our first vocational training programme started in the autumn of 1998, and since then we have provided vocational programmes every year. We are presently running four programmes.
In the autumn of 2010 our range will increase to include five vocational training programmes. We have a wide area of uptake with students from the local surrounding as well as from the rest of Sweden.
